BICS contact informationThis page provides important contact information and the associated address details, such as those for the BICS Helpdesk and various other organisations.

BICS Helpdesk and information desk (user support business hours):

Telephone: +31-(0)88 2022600  (mon-fri 9-17h)

If required, the BICS Helpdesk will contact you on board ship regardless of your whereabouts in Europe. In order to make this possible, when you contact the Helpdesk please always provide the correct telephone numbers and indicate where you are, and when you can be reached.

If you are obliged to report electronically and you cannot comply with this as a result of a problem with BICS, you can contact our standby service outside office hours. In that case, leave a voicemail message and we will call you back at a later time. The standby service has the following accessibility for these special emergencies:

Outside office hours:

  • in the morning between 06:00 and 09:00 and in the evening between 17:00 and 23:00;
  • on the weekend between 09:00 and 17:00.

Outside of these times, we recommend that you pass on your report by VHF radio to the relevant traffic post. The non-obligatory ships that experience problems during the weekend and outside office hours are only assisted during office hours.

You can use the Application forms on this website to request a new BICS account, submit an Address change and/or Contact us online (i.e. comments, complaints, questions).
